Tobacco leaf, an annual or limited perennial herb, native to South America, is cultivated around the world, and the tobacco leaf is a raw material for the tobacco industry. How to dry tobacco, to ensure that the drying color is beautiful, good quality, sell a good price, is the most concerned problem of many tobacco farmers.Among them, the processing equipment and process conditions play a very important role.
At present, traditional tobacco leaf drying kilns either burn fuel as a heat source and can only initially control temperature and humidity. They are difficult to operate and cause serious pollution. Either electric drying, which consumes huge amounts of energy and has high drying costs, is a challenge to the local power supply.
In order to solve the problems of traditional tobacco leaf baking quality and defects in baking facilities, AIM has long-term cooperation with Hunan University, School of Energy and Science of Yunnan Normal University, etc. to develop automatic control equipment for closed heat pump heating and baking tobacco leaves. AIM tobacco drying machine is with invention patent which approved by the China government.
The AIM tobacco leaf dryer has an energy efficiency ratio of up to 1:3~4, which is safe and environmentally friendly. It is the first to use a tobacco leaf baking digital monitor that has obtained a new national patent. It uses a digital temperature sensor with an accuracy of 0.1°C and a variety of built-in baking " "Expert System" and has an online adjustment function, which can realize automatic temperature control of tobacco leaf baking under different ecological conditions. The successful development and application of this machine (patent number: CN201320792577, etc.) has shortened tobacco leaf drying time by 40% and reduced operating costs by 70% compared with traditional methods.
The AIM tobacco leaf dryer can precisely control the drying temperature in sections, which will help the tobacco leaves to turn yellow more fully before moving to color fixation, thereby improving the quality of the dried tobacco leaves. Moreover, since the drying chamber is kept sealed, the CO2 released from the tobacco leaves increases the CO2 content in the drying chamber, which is conducive to the yellowing of the tobacco leaves and the formation of aroma-causing substances, thereby improving the intrinsic and appearance quality of the cured tobacco leaves and improving the aroma quality of the tobacco leaves. At the same time, automation, normalization and standardization are basically realized in the work process, so there is no need for dedicated labor input. One person can be on duty for multiple systems, will reduce a lot of labor cost.
Compared with traditional equipment, AIM's tobacco leaf dryer can significantly improve the luster and color of dried tobacco leaves and improve product quality. Moreover, using AIM dryer the tobacco leaves dried in the same batch have little color difference regardless of the hanging position: top, middle, or bottom, and the quality control is very stable. Fresh Tobacco Leaf & Dried Tobacco Leaf
Three step drying:
1.Color change Period：
Set the temperature to 35℃~38℃ and humidity to 90% until the tobacco turn 70%-80%.
2.Color fixing Period:
In the early stage set the temperature 40℃~45℃and the humidity to 37℃~38℃. In the last stage change the temperature to 54℃ and the humidity to 38℃~40℃ ,Stop drying after the tobacco 100% turn to yellow.
3.Drying stem period：
Set the temperature 65℃~68℃ turn on the fast heating ,fast dehumitification，the humitidity to 40℃~43℃, tobacco’s humidity will be dry to 8%. Then the drying process is complete. The entire drying process is about 25 hours.
The drying process is for reference only, and can be adjusted according to the needs of users in actual use.
