Products made from logs or wood can be infected with parasites, pests and microorganisms. When these wood products are exported from one country to another, the pests inside the products may come out and become invasive species in the local environment, causing irreversible ecological disaster.

Today, one of the most widely used methods of treating wooden materials is wood fumigation. fumigation for wood is a long history method. During a timber fumigation treatment, the room or container containing the wood product is filled with a gaseous pesticide or fumigant to eliminate parasites and pests within the wood.

But there are also some problems with fumigation. The chemicals used in fumigation are highly toxic and fatal to most living things, including humans.

Wood heat treatment is an alternative to fumigation that kills pests(heat treating wood for insects)and parasites without the use of chemicals. In contrast, heat treatment uses high temperatures or pressure to kill pests and parasites.

AIM uses heat pump technology to provide users with the perfect insecticide solution for heat-treated wood(thermal treatment of wood). The maximum temperature of timber heat treatment can reach 80℃, which is more effective in killing respective pests than the usual 60℃. Complies with U.S. import regulations of ispm heat treatment(lumber heat treatment).

The energy consumption of heat pump technology is only 30% of conventional electric heating, and the cost of use is low. It also has a dehumidification function, which can control the humidity during heat treatment and pest control, and better protect the treated objects.
